Dear Parents and Carers
This week saw our first P&F meeting for the year. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances we are looking for a new President. The role is an important one and we are very keen to find a willing candidate as soon as possible. The role does involve some commitment for events and meetings, however there is support available and people willing to assist the role.
The P&F is a key part of our school community. The school relies on their support and their focus on engaging our community in the educational journey of the students at St Joseph's is at the core of their undertakings.
If you or someone you know may be interested in finding out more about the role of President then please ask them to contact myself or Trina. Thank you in advance for your support.
This week I was sent the attached article which I found very interesting. While the information in the article is aimed at adults, there are certainly elements that may apply to our students. I hope you enjoy the article.
Have a great week
Tim
This week, marked the start of Lent. We began with our Ash Wednesday liturgy. We came together to remind ourselves that we do not always follow God's way and need to ask God for His mercy and forgiveness.
Thank-you to our Year 6 Faith and Service Pastoral group who led our liturgy with reverence and grace. Well-done!
Last week, our Year 3 students enacted our Mercy Value of Community by providing a service to our school. They helped clean up all the twigs and leaves that fell during Monday 's overnight storm. Thank-you for caring for our environment, our school and our friends. Ben, our groundsman was very appreciative of your efforts too.
This upcoming week some of Year 3 and Year 4 students begin their Sacramental Journey through the St Joseph's Parish. Please keep our students in your prayers as they begin thier journey.
Hope all have a wonderful week,
Trina
