Dear Parents and Carers
Firstly, thank you for your support this term amid what has been a disrupted and trying year for everyone. I know that life has been changed for many families and this has also been the case for schools. While our teachers have worked very hard to provide students with all the regular opportunities, it has been a disrupted year so far.
I am very grateful to all our staff and students for their efforts this term. They have done an amazing job despite the disruptions and achieved some very pleasing results. I know they are all looking forward to the break and to finishing off the year in style.
You would have received an email this week outlining some changes to staffing for fourth term. I will be away for the last 7 weeks of Term 4 on secondment to Townsville Catholic Education and Amanda Jones will be Acting Principal in my absence with Jan Oram Acting APRE. I know both Amanda and Jan will do a wonderful job.
I hope everyone has a chance to refresh and relax a little these holidays. If you are travelling, please take care on the road. I look forward to seeing you all again for our last term.
Enjoy the break
Tim
What a wonderful term we have had here at St Joseph’s. This term we have been exploring our Mercy Values of Love, Community and Excellence. Over the term, the students have participated in class prayer celebrations around each of our values as well as activities to help explore what each of the values means to them. Here are just a few photos of some of the activities from throughout the term.
After such a busy Term 3 I hope that you all have a relaxing, restful and safe holiday break. Thank you for your continued support and I look forward to seeing you all in Term 4.
We thank you, Lord, for this term.
For the challenges, the successes, and the mistakes from which we have learnt.
Be with us as we spend our time with family and friends.
Give us strength and courage to do what is right: to be witnesses of our faith.
Help us to be practical people these holidays, to appreciate what others do for us, to give time and effort to help others.
To be peacemakers in our family.
Keep us safe in our activities; give us good rest and good fun.
Bring us back refreshed and ready for a new term.
We thank you for our classmates, teachers, parents
And a community that cares for us.
May we always be conscious of you in our lives.
Amen
Have a wonderful holiday!
Take care and God Bless
Amanda
