Dear Parents and Carers
Another huge week this week for our school community. If you haven't had a chance yet to check out our new prep video yet then you should definitely let Maddie show you around! If you open the link below you can enjoy a day in the life of a Joey's preppie.
It is an amazing video made possible by the star of the show Maddie, Kevin from Limitless Films and our very own Mrs Wallace. I hope you enjoy it.
This week we also saw our new junior toilets and facilities open. Students were very excited to discover the 'very fancy' new facilities. We are very grateful to Reldas Constructions for providing us with these wonderful new facilities. The final product is fantastic and will prove to be a real asset to our school.
We also enjoyed meeting our new Prep students for 2022. Our newest Joey's enjoyed a great morning of fun activities, meeting the teachers and assistants and getting a taste of life in Prep. We look forward to welcoming them in the new year as they begin their school journey.
As we move quickly through the last few weeks of the term I would ask that you stay in touch with the school through our social media, newsletters and emails, as there is a great deal happening in a short period of time. As always should you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact me to discuss.
Have a great week.
Tim
All Saints and All Souls Days
This week we have celebrated the church feast days of All Saints Day and All Souls Day. On these days, we remember the souls of those who have died and pay special remembrance to the Saints who have graced this world. Our students celebrated All Saints Day with a prayer focus as part of their class meditation.
Merciful Father, hear our prayers and console us.
As we renew our faith in Your Son, whom you raised from the dead, strengthen our hope that all our departed brothers and sisters will share in His resurrection.
Eternal rest grant unto them O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon them. May they rest in peace.
AMEN
Remembrance Day
Millions of people around the world will stop for one minute of silence on Thursday, 11th November to commemorate those who fought and died in conflicts since World War I.
This year, our school will mark this day with a prayer and minute silence in classrooms. A group of students from Years 2 to 6 and who have a family member currently serving in the Defence Forces will attend the TCC Remembrance Day Ceremony at ANZAC Park.
All students are encouraged to wear a poppy on Thursday.
Congratulations to the following students who received a Mercy Values Awards at our final assembly for 2021.

Dear Parents and Carers
A reminder about these two important items for Instrumental Music.
- End of year Instrumental Music Concert (Virtual). All instrumental students will be recording a piece with their teachers over the next couple of weeks. This is an exciting opportunity for your child to record their tune, which will then be combined into concert footage with all other music students and released to parents on Monday 29th November. More information on this video release will be emailed to parents closer to the date.
- Enrolment into the 2022 Instrumental Program. Enrolment is now open for continuing and new students wishing to be involved in the program next year. Students in year 2 to year 6 have a variety of instrumental areas they can pursue. Please note that certain instruments are only available in certain year levels. For more information on the different instruments available and fees, please visit the school website here. Please note that parents of continuing instrumental students, as well as new students, need to complete the enrolment form here. Enrolments close on Friday 3rd December 2021 (The last day of term 4).
Please reach out to me via email if you have any questions about the above. I look forward to a musical end to 2021!
