Father's Day
Over the week, we celebrated Father's Day with a golf day organised by the P and F last Friday and a prayer celebration and early morning coffee on Wednesday. A wonderful time was had by all who were able to make the celebrations.
Thanks to the P and F committee for their support and organisation of the Golf Day.
We wish all our Dads, Grandads and father figures a wonderful and happy Father's Day on Sunday.
White Balloon Day
Students are encouraged to wear white next Friday, 10th September for a gold coin donation. All monies raised will help Bravehearts provide child protection services around Australia.
Eisteddfod

Book Week: Throughout the term we have had several Competitions. The winners will be announced in next week’s newsletter.
Story box library: Please tap into this resource to have an author or notable person read your child a story. It is on trial at our school until the end of September. The difference from the city library addition is ours has great craft ideas at the end of some stories which would be great for kids to tap into on holidays.

Book club has been ordered and is on the way.
Reading Hour: The Australian reading hour began as an event for all Australians to set aside one hour on one day to read where ever they were and however they chose to read. It has since become an annual program to encourage a love of reading.
This is coming up on the last week of term Tuesday Sept 14th. We enjoyed our family reads so much during book week that we will do it again.
Happy Reading

At the moment we have a number of school jumpers and other items on the lost property shelf. Most of these items are unnamed. If your child is missing their jumper or lunchbox, please encourage them to look for it in lost property.
All unclaimed items will be donated to the SJS uniform shop or local Vinnies store on Wednesday, 15th September.
COFFEE VAN
A great way to start our day! Wattles & Wagtails will be visiting every Tuesday morning from 7:30 am located at Oxley St entrance, near the Kindy gate.
